Difference Between the N-Power Programme and NYSC

The N-Power programme is like the NYSC programme, but there is a difference however.

·       N-Power lasts for a period of two years while NYSC lasts for just one year.

·       N-Power is simply a quick and immediate way to engage the ever increasing unemployed Nigerian youths. 

·       NYSC requires a little paramilitary training but, N-Power may not likely involve such rigorous training.

·       NYSC was aimed at Rebuilding, Reconstruction and Reconciliation of the Ethnically injured Nigeria established by Gowon after the civil war, But there is nothing asuch here; N-Power is simply for employment, simply aimed to make the youths busy and engaged for a period of two years while they get trained in such area of interest for a possible employment after the two years.

·       In NYSC you get posted to states that are not within your zone or ethnic sphere and you do not have the power to determine where you will go, but in N-Power, you are posted to where you requested through your application form. That was the reason for your Residential address which was filled in the application form. You are definitely going to be sent to where you reside as was filled in the form. There was even an option as to whether you would want to be posted to your own state of origin. So I just hope the information you supplied are correct, otherwise, you are on your own.

Similarities between N-Power and NYSC

·       In both You are entitled to a stipend monthly.

·       Both are meant to engage the minds of the youths.

·       Both are Federal Government programmes.

The N-power programme – things you must know As You Apply

The N-power programme is an initiative from the federal government which is an avenue they have employed to engage the unemployed graduates of the Nigerian populace. N-power programme is not a job offer asuch as many persons might have erroneously believed, rather it is just a means of engaging the unemployed youths for a period of two years while training for possible future employment in their various areas of interest.

The N-Power programme is like the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). But this N-Power lasts for a period of two years while NYSC lasts for just one year. N-Power is simply a quick and immediate way to engage the ever increasing jobless Nigerian youths. NYSC requires a little paramilitary training but, N-Power may not likely involve such rigorous training. NYSC was aimed at Rebuilding, Reconstruction and Reconciliation of the Ethnically injured Nigeria established by Gowon after the civil war, But there is nothing asuch here; N-Power is simply for employment, simply aimed to make the youths busy and engaged for ab period of two years while they get trained in such area of interest for a possible employment after the two years.

                     

But, a little pay is attached though. Yes, just like NYSC, the trainee is entitled to some stipends for the period of that two years. The pay will likely be around 23,000 naira, it may be higher than that though.

The Major areas N-Power is covering are:

·       N-Power Teachers – They will be deployed to schools (Primary and Secondary)

·       N-Power Agro – These category will go the Agricultural sector.

·       N-Power Health – These people will be deployed hospitals, clinics, dispensaries and other health institutions.

·       N-Power Community Education- This is part of the the N-Power teachers that will be deployed to rural communities for community enlightenment and Adult Education.

When is The N-Progrmme Application Ending?

 Deadline for the Application of the N-Power Federal Government Programme

This to inform all concerned applicants of the Federal Government N-Power programme, be it N-Power Teach, N-Power Agro, N-Power Health, etc; that there is not yet a certified deadline for the application of the programme.

But from all indications, the application of the N-Power programme may end by this June. By that I mean it may end as June is ending. This is because, the N-Power Programme kicks off 1st of August, So they may want to use the whole of July to process all the 'processables.''

The deadline is therefore near. Go and apply today. Procrastination is a thief of time. Do it today, infact, Do it now. Thanks.
