A woman's first period is called Menarch, while the last period is called Menopause.
1. How old will I be when I get my first period?
I have said it before though. The age factor possesses a lot of variations. Some girls start their first period at 8 or 9 years old, while others don't start it until they're 15 or 16. The average age is 12 or 13. The best way to figure out when you may start menstruating is to look for other signs of development, and ask your mom or older sister when they started their first period.
2. Is it compulsory that my period will fall in the same time my mother had Hers.
Yes, to some extent. There is scientific evidence showing genetic factors influence the onset age of menstruation.
3. I am 13, my First period has not yet come. Why?
There could be some delays in the release of eggs from the follicles.
Every girl has her own biological make-up and yours is different from your friends' own.
4. What are the signs to see to know that my first period is imminent?
The signs and symptoms of a first period is not far fetched. A summary of the signs and symptoms of a first period is thus: First, your breasts will start to develop, and hair may begin to grow in the pubic area (between your legs) and in your armpits. During this time you may notice a whitish discharge from your vagina. This is normal. A few months after that, you'll likely start your first period. When it actually begins, you might feel dampness on your underwear, which is probably a few drops of blood.
5. How Long does a Period/Menstrution Lasts?
On the average it lasts just within 4-5 years. Some though go as long as 7-8 days. While some end their just within 3-4 days. It depends on body structure and oestrogen level.
6. What if I Fail to Witness My First Period even though I am appraoching 16?
If you are up to 16 and have not witnessed your first period, it is now a health complication. Girls who reach the age of 16 without menstruating may have primary amenorrhea(lack of menstrual flow). Primary amenorrhea requires careful medical testing, diagnosis and therapy, so I suggest you consult your family doctor.
7. How Can I Prevent or Stop my Period/Menstruation?
It cannot be stopped naturally. It is a natural phenomena that should be cherished and loved. So enjoy it while it lasts. Otherwise, you can use pills and contraceptives, ask a pharmacist.
8. When Will this Period/Menstruation of a thing Stop?
It will Stop at the age between 40 and 50 years. Depending on how late or how early your own started. The end is called menopause (your last period).
